\ Self introduction /

I’m originally from Tondabayashi City in Osaka Prefecture.
Currently, I divide my time between Osaka City and Awaji Island.

In Osaka, I was involved in child welfare work. While exploring ways to create diverse employment opportunities for people with disabilities, I encountered farmland on Awaji Island. This experience led me to start farming and operating a shop that sells locally grown produce.

Awaji Island is rich not only in nature, but also in inspiring people—both locals and newcomers—who are engaged in unique activities, as well as deeply rooted traditions and culture. Wanting to share these wonderful aspects with more people, I am now also involved in tourism, including accommodation and experiential programs on the island.

\ My past travel experiences /

My first trip abroad was a one-year study abroad program in the United States during my university years.

Since it was my first time overseas, I initially struggled—I couldn’t speak English well and had difficulty understanding others. However, my host family was incredibly kind and supportive. They spoke slowly, showed interest in Japanese culture, and welcomed me warmly, which helped me quickly adapt to life abroad.

My host mother, in particular, was very active, and her favorite phrase was “Life is good.”

Her way of fully committing to both work and enjoying life had a profound influence on me.

I studied in Seattle, and during my stay, I traveled extensively with my host family—driving through Canada all the way to Alaska, and visiting major cities along the U.S. West Coast. When I visited California, I even crossed into Mexico, where I experienced firsthand how culture and atmosphere can change dramatically across borders.

Through meeting people from different backgrounds and experiencing diverse cultures, I came to realize that people can truly connect beyond language and cultural differences. Before going abroad, I was quite reserved, but this experience became the foundation for what I do today—creating spaces where diverse people can connect.
