First day: Dive into the rural life

13:00~14:00 Visit Onokoro Shizuku Salt Works

In traditional salt-making, the cycle of mountains, rivers, and the sea is vital. Water evaporates from the ocean, becomes clouds, falls as rain in the mountains, and flows through rivers carrying nutrients back to the sea. Visit the artisans creating salt on Goshiki Beach, where the sea, mountains, and rivers blend together.

14:30~15:30 Local Shopping Experience

Shop for dinner ingredients at a local fish market and recommended neighborhood stores, just like the locals do.

16:00 Check-in

Check into your accommodation. We will introduce you to a charming nearby guesthouse.

17:00 Sunset Walk

Take a stroll to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

18:00 Dinner Preparation with a Local Chef

Prepare dinner together with a local chef and learn the best ways to enjoy fresh local ingredients.

19:00 Dinner and Local Exchange

Enjoy dinner while getting to know some of the wonderful local people. Let us know if there is a particular kind of person you’d like to meet during your stay on Awaji Island!

21:00 End of Day 1

Second day:Discover Japan, discover yourself

10:00 Visit to Senzan Senkoji Temple

Mount Senzan is said to be the first mountain created by the deities Izanagi and Izanami. Visit Senkoji Temple at the summit. In Japan, it is believed that sacred spirits dwell in natural features like mountains, rivers, and rocks. We’ll also visit mystical giant stones considered sacred.

11:00 Calligraphy Experience at “Goshiki’s Love Letters”

At the atelier of “Tsubakisen, the Calligrapher,” experience dynamic calligraphy using giant brushes—like sweeping with a broom! You can take your creation home with you

13:00 Lunch

We’ll introduce you to one of our favorite hidden restaurants, where you can enjoy a meal made with the best local ingredients from Awaji Island.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

On the second day, there will be a calligraphy experience, so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting ink on
